  1. Click the Wi-Fi icon in the menu bar.
  2. Choose 'Turn Wi-Fi off.'

When Wi-Fi is turned off, the menu icon changes to and empty indicator ( ). When you're ready to use Wi-Fi again, click the menu icon and choose 'Turn Wi-Fi on.' Then connect to the network you want to join if your Mac doesn't join it automatically.

You can enable and disable the Wi-Fi menu from the Network pane of System Preferences.

While i have a windows computer connected directly to the router using a Cat6 cable with network card speed of 1 Gbps , in same speedtest.net the download speed is not reaching above 200 Mbps.

And the same with my Samsung galaxy note 9 which has the same Mac mini standard (Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), the speedtest.net download speed is not reaching above 150 Mbps .


If i purchased the new Mac mini, how can i make sure that i will get download speed 400 Mbps and above. Or do i need to wait apple until they release a new Mac mini with the new Wifi 6 .
